Jobs/Careers?

So then lads (and ladies if there are any). What are your respective jobs/professions? I'm curious what you do for a living.

Students, bankers, lawyers, builders, unemployed etc.

Obviously you don't have to list company names or your salary those sort of silly things.

I'll kick it off.

I'm, as the name suggests an IT guy (although not always drunk). Been in the business for about 18 months, the first 9 of those was only really part time, while studying. The company I work for, work alongside small businsses, so rather than employing a proper bloke they take up a contract with us. Our biggest customer is a logistics company, they have at least 4 large warehouses, so as you can imagine if something goes wrong there (fingers crossed it doesn't ) the shit hits the fan hard.

My official title is IT Technician, I get to do a lot of on site work, rather than sat behind a desk all day. However I do sometimes miss being in the office, because the girl from HR next door is quite the stunner.

Before I did this I worked at a Garden Centre at the weekend. I hated plants and it was all about the money at that age. Although throwing Xmas trees at each other was dangerous yet very fun.

Cool thread. Interesting to see what everyone's day-to-day life is like.

When I was in school, I dreamed of playing Cricket for my country.

When I was in college, I dreamed of working for a game company.

But, I'm a Marketing Executive right now. Don't ask how that happened, but I'm grateful 'cause I got selected early on, got to travel the world and I'm happy with all that.

Sweet, I've only been to France and Scotland (although Scotland isn't really abroad) for work. It's not quite the same lol. There is a potential trip to South Africa in the works but I don't fancy setting up an office in the heat they get over there. But I'm the only one who has had all the relevant shots and jabs, so it will likely be me and the boss -.-

Probably the best bonus of the job is I don't pay for my car oh and the hours are flexible, I'm also allowed to work from home

Just got my Law degree (got a first, big whoop, wanna fight about it), taking a year out to do some legal experience before I take my final year and qualify as a solicitor.

Argos atm. Not what I wanna do but I need to rake in the money.

Next year I'll be going to Uni to study medicine.

i would get a lot more money but also have to do a lot more work

so i dunno because im pretty keen on sitting at my computer all day doing jack shit like i do now

Unemployed, at the moment. Got a college degree, but haven't been able to find work in the field, at all; been getting by with odd jobs and temp work here and there. Looks like I'll be picking up a retail job coming up here just to get a steadier income.

I was a code monkey for 2 months from April to June. Then my flatmate's like "we're moving to Bath" and I was like ">" so I quit.

UCL graduate. Not a bad uni, though I haven't made the most out of my education. Fuck it, save that for when I haz a famileh.

Respect to the Uni students, I wouldn't of been able to stick to that for a whole year nevermind 3/4.

Best thing about Wycombe though we still got those student nights even if it is a fucking Yates.

Student at NYU. Working on Some android apps right now for the sake of being productive. Spending my summer in classes, and having meaningless arguments on Gamefaqs

I work part time at a math and reading tutoring center for children of rich kids.

Mainly, I'm current working on getting my Masters in Psychology.

lol i work for a company that does similar to that. mostly its young people though you do get some 50 year old retards who can't spell. i'm not involved with the recruitment side anyway thank fuck

i kinda thought maybe i could see a bit of myself in nardo in that i used to be more negative without fully realising how it was affecting me because i kinda just thought 'well im joking and I know that im alright in the head'

but i realised later that it was coming from being a little bit unhappy and when i tried to change the way i came off it helped me become a little happier

I don't get why people think I'm this angry person. I just have a low tolerance for idiocy and if I see it I call it out. It just happens to be on these boards there's a whole lot of it.

You people just seem to get angry about my opinions. Nobody gets angry over anyone else's. I say something I think and everyone jumps on it and is so angered by what I said. I don't get it.

I don't like people. There's nothing wrong with me in my head. I just find a lot of people obnoxious and boring. The ones that aren't I'm nice to. It's simple really. Like stam. You're constantly saying I'm an idiot and stuff like that but I ignore you because I know for one...you're wrong and I don't find you repulsive like liquid is. Also I'm generally more positive on this board. When do I ever say anything negative here?

Everything i say on the board is to wind people up whether its you, liquid or anyone else, an i usually succeed
