List your top 5 shows of all time then discuss what you're watching.

1. Avatar
2. Game of Thrones
3. Inbetweeners
4. Breaking Bad
5. Peep Show

Haven't seen the latest Downton Abbey series so might as well binge it with my mum since I'm in the states. Slowly enjoying it less and less, and that's saying something since I saw from the beginning it was just a really expensive show made for Anglophilic American housewives that coincided with the Royal Wedding phenomenon. But it's kk and I like the cast a lot.

There's this new show called True Detective starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. Fucking brilliant. Three episodes left and it's already one of my all time favourites. There's this scene at the end of the fourth episode that's 6 minutes long and it's just amazing. McConaughey is so good, what happened to him? He was also brilliant in Dallas Buyers Club. Quickly becoming my favourite actor.

American Horror Story is such unfulfilled potential. Good show, but I always feel there could be more. First and second series were great. Third started well but the ending was shite and underwhelming.

Can't stand Walking Dead, don't know how you watch it but the rest of your picks are solid. Heard Brooklyn Nine Nine is very good but I don't like that big nose cunt Andy Samburg, but might watch for Terry Crews. Supernatural has a huge, yet weird fanbase.

Once True Detective ends, GoT comes on so excited as fuck for that.

Thing is the first season of American horror story was so good that the other seasons seem bad but they are still solid, I would prob agree that season 3 was the worse, they needed more Tate man!

Hazy man, watch Suits!

You know what, I still like walking dead but you can't please everyone (people complain that it doesn't follow the graphic Novel)

Game of Thrones is alright but they miss a lot from the books

1. The Wire
2. Breaky B
3. Boardwalk Empire
4. Still Game
5. Always Sunny in Philidelphia

My brothers been hounding me to watch True Detective. Think I'll just wait til th season ends and binge it.

Aside from that there's not much on atm that I care about. Might go back and finish watching season 2 and 3 of Deadwood- don't remember why I stopped watching it. Ownloaded season 1 of Hell on Wheels a few weeks back watched the first ep but never returned to it. It was alright but I've just not had any time to watch it.

You should all have a look at Still Game, all the wpispdws are on YouTube. It's absolutely fucking hilarious. Has legendary status up here.

Agreed about AHS. First series was a classic horror story with twists and everything. Second tried too hard and there was so much going on (murderer, demon, aliens, nazis) it made the series tangled, but still pulled off a good enough series that I enjoyed it. Third had potential, but the writing was silly and the ending was stupid and predictable. Tate is fucking top, one of my favourite characters from anything ever.

Been meaning to watch Suits. My mum and girlfriend absolutely love it.

Agree to disagree about Walking Dead but the Governor really killed the show for me. I hear the second half of the 4th series is getting a lot better, though.

GoT could never match the books, but as a standalone show, it's brilliant. Everything about the show is perfect, IMO, and with each series, the budget gets bigger and bigger. I won't complain about the deviation from the books as long as they keep Coldhands, tho. Love me some Coldhands.

Never seen The Wire or Boardwalk Empire, always wanted to watch both. Still Game is my uncle's favourite show. He lived in Edin for 16 years but he's back in Stockport. Might explain it.

There's two episodes of True Detective left so you won't have to wait long. Fuckin amazing. Just finished watching the latest episode. Can't stress how good Matthew McConaughey is. Legend.

Always Sunny makes me believe there is a god.

1. Game of Thrones
2. House of Cards
3. Archer
4. Breaking Bad
5. Spaced (why does English TV kill all the good shows?)

I'm watching: Arrow, Brooklyn Nine Nine, Parks and Recreation, SNL (does that count?), and Portlandia

I'm not too satisfied with putting Breaking Bad in there, because it doesn't have the same lasting affect on me as other shows do, but its class is undeniable. House of Cards grew on me too, its so fucking great I had to put it in there, probably one of the most captivating shows of all time. GoT in a contemporary setting

1. Game of Thrones
2. Community
3. Arrow
4. Sons of Anarchy
5. Entourage

I'd throw Dexter somewhere on this list but the ending really let me down. Honorable mentions go to How I Met Your Mother and Breaking Bad. Ive seen Suits and its pretty good but half the time I dont know what is exactly going on since I have no knowledge of Law so I dont think I appreciate it nearly as enough as others do. Catelyn and Varys from GoT are in it though so thats pretty cool.

I've been meaning to check out True Detective, House of Cards, Luther and The Wire out for a while , just dunno what to watch first. Also, dunno if any of you are into anime but I recently finished the first season of a show called Attack on Titan and its pretty great. Highly recommend it.

Im a big fan, and they film in Vancouver so I notice a lot of familiar areas in the background which is cool. Also, it's really hard to go wrong with Manu Bennett. My only issue with it is that the first season takes a long time to really get going but once it does its non-stop awesomeness.

I watched the first episode of Arrow and didn't like it. Looked interesting, tho. A few of my mates really like that show and apparently Manu Bennett is Slade aka a badass.

Half of it is tailored for 16 year old girls, and the other half is tailored for die-hard DC comic fans. I try to skip some of the Chick Flick mellow drama. Paul Blackthorne is a great actor, I was mindblown when I found out he's English, I was even sicker when he tweeted "Go Arsenal"

You pretty much have to go through half of season 1 of Arrow for it to get really good but once you hit that mark the quality ramps up big time. One of the best things about it is that the story moves at a much faster pace than most other shows and it has a crap ton of surprises in store if you arent familiar with the Green Arrow universe.

Manu Benett as Slade is an absolute beast, he basically steals the show every time he makes an apperance which is saying something cause Stephen Amell is pretty good as the lead.

That's good to hear. Will give it another shot sometime. There are a few actors I noticed who I'm a fan of (including the motherfucking Undefeated Gaul).

@sephi, if you're ever watching something and notice an American character is absolutely brilliant, odds on the actor is British. We are perfection.

True Detective as it's, in my opinion, the best of the lot in addition to being only 8 episodes long. Try Luther after that then binge watch House of Cards.

Luther or True detective. The Wire can take a little bit to get into.

On topic

In order of my personal favourites and not really imo what is the best in terms of quality.

1. Lost
2. The Office (US)
3. The Shield (Not not the shit superhero show. If you haven't seen this please do.)
4. Fringe
5. GoT

Honourable mentions: Battlestar Galactica, 24, Friday Night Lights, Deadwood, Southland, The Sopranos, Luther and of course Chuck.

As for what's on now that I'm watching Justified and Shameless (US) are probably 2 of the best atm.

I've only really started getting into tv properly last year so don't think I can say a top 5 just yet.
Currently watching The Wire and love it, Breaking bad was great too ofc.
There was a show I watched last year called Rectify I highly recommend to those who haven't seen it, only 6 eps so far but it's acclaimed by everyone.

Feel free to hit us with some recs
