I've heard that they are overrated and you're mainly paying for the brand.
But all dem footballers wear them.

Re: DR DRE beats
I got the Dre Tours as a birthday present from my girlfriend. They are pretty good, prefer them to the Bose IE's I used to have.
I also got the Studios at Christmas and they are brilliant. Look like a muppet in them but for chillin around the house they are great or when listening to music on the PC.
Obviously if you're not a fan of bass you shouldn't get them, because they are much more bassy than other headphones. But I don't think it is as overpowering as many suggest.
Price wise I can't comment, I didn't actually buy them.

I got Dre iBeats (the little earbuds) as a present for my birthday and they're brilliant.
They also come with 20 different rubber buds so you can pick which one suits you best.
Can't comment on the actual big headphones, though.

Re: DR DRE beats
There's probably much better headphones you can get for a fraction of the price.
Why anybody spends over £200 on headphones is beyond me, especially as most will just assume they are fake (for that reason)

Indeed I was a very lucky boy that year, to be fair they have lasted at least 18 months - 2 years now as well.
