I'll answer this question because there is some truth to it. In my country, as well as from the continent of Asia in general, there is a motivation to lie about your age. Number one it makes you more attractive as a potential marriage candidate. Number two the government tends to greatly prefer younger individuals for jobs. So it is not commonplace to have a 20 year old girl who is really like 23.

My birthday isnt made up. Sept 15. I haven't celebrated my birthday since I was like 13. My family struggled financially growing up, so when I got older my parents couldn't buy me gifts so we didn't really celebrate it. After we stabilized financially, it just sort of becamse habit ot ntot slecebrate it.t
