I honestly like boxing over UFC, but it's just declined, and at the same time none the less. Boxing was put on the back-burner or sports and UFC took the limelight.

That being said, I haven't watched either in years. LOL.

I meant popularity wise. 8-9 years ago people got together to watch PPV boxing matches and now everyone get's together to watch UFC fights. Just form what I've observed with the people around me and what not.

Exactly no one watches boxing anymore

It's nice to watch boxing for the beauty of dancing around the ring making someone miss but that rarely happens now.

I agree the viewing figures are down. But that will happen with a lot of sport. There are always casual fans in every sport.

When a big british title contender comes along then the figures will rise again. Or if Manny and Mayweather go at it.

The simple fact is there aren't many fighters that are appealing to a broad audience right now. They aren't marketing their fights very well. As much as I hate to say it, David Haye was one of those guys. A great cruiserweight, average heavyweight. But he could talk up a tree if you asked him to. Froch is pound for pound the best British Boxer right now, but the man can't sell it to the casuals.

There are plenty of great boxers. Sure we aren't in a golden age but the quality is there...

It is all down to how they market themselves.

There is also a massive issue with the fact there are so many boxing federations/boards. Boxers aren't being pushed to take the biggest fight and fans are suffering because of it.

Boxing has always struck me as a stupid, corrupt mess of a sport. UFC is better, but not by enough where I'll actually bother to watch.

90's boxing was awesome. I remember being 6 and watching Tyson v Holyfield with my dad and it was honestly one of the most entertaining pieces of sport I had ever seen. Tyson v Holyfield II a year later wasn't as good (still great, just not as good as part I) but Mike biting Holyfield's ear off made up for it.

I think the last of the truly great boxers like Tyson, Pacquiao, Holyfield, etc. being replaced with boring fighters like the Klitschko's mixed in with retards like Haye, Chisora, and Mayweather have turned boxing into a fucking joke.

There's always been massive corruption, but at least it was entertaining back then.

What?

Mayweather is the best boxer in the world ATM.

Heck I think he is better than all the truly great boxers you just listed

Klitsko brothers are the best in their weight at this time.

Mayweather's an overrated prick and the Klitschko brothers are talented, but incredibly boring.

Over rated?

He is undefeated and makes people look amateurish against him.

Honestly I have no respect for Mayweather as a person. As a fighter, he is one of the best at the moment. But the man is a scum bag.

What we need is a Manny vs Mayweather fight soon, the pair have been ducking each other far too long.

The Klitchko Brothers have got the division locked out, I can't see any of them losing anytime soon. Vitali will probably retire within the next year or so then Wlad will get the WBC belt. They aren't the most entertaining fighters but credit to them, they are very very good.
