You're not the only one here that cares about the Winter Olympics, Sephi. Hockey at the winter olympics is to Canadians what the FIFA World Cup is to Europeans and South Americans. Americans should definitely be watching hockey this year cause they have a really good team (and have my favorite player of all time, Ryan Kesler, as their first line center). If Canada can get past the U.S and Sweden I like our chances to repeat the gold.

My favorite olympic event is Figure skating, because of my Russian blood. But the competition is dull this year. Russia literally has no competition, not even Japan or US. Canada got silver though, so that's coo.

I'm excited for the Hockey competiton. I'm a Russia fan. But I do like Sydney Crosby. Most New Yorkers are edging for Sweden, so you'd be surprised (Lundqvist).

Russia has an incredible great offense.  Ovechkin, Datsyuk , Malkin and Kovalchuk are some of the scariest players to play against when they're on their game. Datsyuk's highlight reel alone makes me fear for my life, the dude can dangle like no tomorrow. However, Russia just isnt that deep in terms of defense and I have a good feeling other high-powered teams like Canada and the U.S will just rip them up. I can see why people are getting behind Sweden, they're a really great team in all facets of the game. Lundqvist is great but his play has been a little on and off this year so we'll see how that plays out, though he does have a good defensive core in front of him w/ Erik Karlsson , who is arguably the best defensemen in the world atm, leading the way. I think everyone should be watching hockey at the olympics this year, this is gonna be a fun tournament.

My family hates Plyushenko (kinda) because he's so arrogant. But if that made me hate him, My love for Cristiano Ronaldo would be unjustified. I was rooting for the American last Olympics but I'm a devoted Plyushenko fan ATM. And when Julia Lypintskaia turns 18, I'll consider being her fan too. (Because right now, its awkward to support jailbait)
