THE GODDAM BATMAN
Just watched Begins & Dark Knight at the cinema where I work as a double bill. Never saw either of them on the big screen so it was pretty epic.
Reminded my how good Heath Ledger's performance was, not the best Joker performance, though.
Also reminded me how superior Begins is in comparison to DK. Fear is his weapon in Begins, Bats just does a lot of shouting and punching in DK, weak in comparison considering fear is what the character is based on.
Got a staff showing of DKR on Thursday, y'all bitches jelly.
Y'ALL EXCITED?
Batman general? Batman General.
I think Bane is going to be a pretty crap villain, especially how he has been seemingly portrayed in trailers and stuff. No venom? He's just an intelligent beefy guy, there's nothing exciting about that, might as well made some Palestinian terrorist the villain for what it's worth.
Also, Catwoman = gay.
Also, if it's the same shouty punchy Batman and not fear-inducing sneaky Batman = gay.
And I hope Ras Al Ghul is an actual prominent character in the film, not just flashbacks or some crap like that - I'm banking that he ain't dead.

Its a shame that this is Christopher Nolan didn't continue the fear one in the second one. That is what most likely will happen in this film as well.

Re: THE GODDAM BATMAN
The reason why "Fear" wasn't Bat's primary weapon in TDK is 'cause everyone knows about him. The only people who actually feared him were Lau and his goons, when Batman went after him in Hong Kong. Back in Gotham, Maroni, Joker and their minions know how he works and hence they don't fear his theatrical "Fear" technique. Moreover, the mob had the Joker backing them up, which again beefed up their bravery.

Already saw it yesterday. Brother works at the cinema over here and he got to bring a guest for an employee thing.
Anyway if you liked BB better than TDK you will like this one. Its very closely related to the first film. And if you like TDK better you're an idiot but I'm sure you will still like it.
Some very unexpected and some expected twists but overall it was just as good as 1 and much better than TDK.
But as far as Nolan films go Inception is still his best.

Memnto is good but it doesn't come close to Inception.
Memento imo is just an average film with a gimmick to make it intresting and with an average twist in the end. If you were to reverse the movie it wouldn't be to great. Because of how its told it what makes it seem more intresting as if the puzzle is being put together. Still one of the best film.
Inception is one of the biggest most mind fucking movies. It has some of the biggest set pieces and some of the most memorable moments in the history of film. The whole revolving hotel room is a moment that will be remembered in 50 years.
Also its very rewatchable which imo is very important for a film. Seeing Memento more than once will never be as good as the first time.

DAMN SON, IT WAS INCREDIBLE.
Easily one of the best films I've ever seen.
Best film of the series, but not the best Batman film of the series, if that makes sense?
Begins was a far better portrayal of Batman, but the script and screenplay in Rises is amazing.

Re: THE GODDAM BATMAN
It was a fantastic way to end it. I felt it got a bit cliche towards the end, I also took issue with the supposed 'romance' with both women. I never felt the first was explained or developed enough.
Tom Hardy stole the show for me. Bane has to be my second favourite Villain of all time, behind Ledger's Joker.
I don't think there was a weak performance from any of the actors/actresses.

Re: THE GODDAM BATMAN
i saw it last night
i thought bane was pretty cool, i think i have to watch it again because at the start i might have been still trying to catch up on everything else instead of concentrating on his story but the fact that id be happy to watch it again tonight obviously says something for the film in general
i should have watched the other two before going and seeing it took me a little while to get back in the swing of things with it but it was still great
i didnt expect much from hathaway but then i heard people saying she was great. i dunno, she wasnt bad. better than i first expected but she wasnt amazing.

- Spoiler:
- i thought bane would take more of a beating than just getting shot by the bike with all that armour on and stuff but i guess it was never confirmed that he was dead.

Re: THE GODDAM BATMAN
Saw it 3 times over the weekend. I had reserved tickets for a "Special Showing" on Sunday but my friend had a ticket for a regular show on Friday. So, I saw it on Friday, bad seats and all, took me 24 hrs to force-hypnotize myself into forgetting it and saw it again on Saturday before enjoying every second of the movie on Sunday.
TDK ran well 'cause of The Joker. TDKR is equally impressive (if not more) 'cause of Bane's voice.

Re: THE GODDAM BATMAN
Off to see it for the 2nd time in about an hour.
- Spoiler:
- For me, venomless Bane was pretty weak, and I feel they could of done more with the breather mask instead of just one tube getting broken and he pussies out like a little bitch. I struggled to understand what he was saying half the time though
When they were down in the sewers, I was hoping for a Killer Croc appearance lollll.
And I though Hathaway was supersexyyyyy, she was better then I thought she'd be.
Last halfhour is probably some of the best cinema I've seen

I meant from Superhero/comic book type films. Anyway come the end of the SW Trilogy (THE NEW ONES NEVER HAPPENED SHUT THE FUCK UP) Vader was a hero.

Re: THE GODDAM BATMAN
Saw it yesterday, loved it. Well directed, well scripted and some stellar performances. Could not believe how hard a lump I had in my throat in the scene between Alfred and Wayne. It was a fantastic ending, and the cameo from Talia was nice too - For some reason I didn't see it coming.
Catwoman is heavily implied to be gay in the comics, to which this film draws from much more than the old Batman & Robin series.
Case in point, Bane's character is derived almost entirely from the comic books - Which I like. I liked the lack of Venom - He was very much a counter-part to Batman. No super powers. They fight on total level terms. I certainly think the inclusion of Bane in the series was a fantastic idea - In the comics, he is obsessed with Gotham because it bears similarities with "Hard Rock" (Or The Pit in the movie); in that it's taken by fear (Fear of Batman in Gotham). Doesn't really play on it in the movie, but it's relevant all the same.
I LOVED the "Broke the Bat" inclusion - It's iconic. Where Bane snaps Batman's back in two over his knee, thereby paralysing him, and rules Gotham.
It surprised me that he Batman revealed himself to Gordon at the end, but it was a nice touch imo.
Overall, a very fine end to a trilogy. 8.5/10. Maybe even a 9.

At the end of it all though, Batman is the most unrealistic character, which makes little sense.

Re: THE GODDAM BATMAN
Scarecrow is just a normal dude, nothing particularly special about him.
Joker is just a normal guy with interesting dress sense, mentalist, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Bane is just a normal dude with a face mask.
Batman is a freakin' bat with access to ridiculous tech, and flys around the city asif he own the place. And he get's a statue. A MAN DRESSED AS A BAT GETS A STATUE. Who dresses up as a bat?

The unrealistic arguement is bullshit. It is a film based off a comic book series. Of course there will be elements that are unrealistic.

But, Nolan went for a realistic approach by not including any of the 'odd' villains.
Yet The Batman himself is a pretty unrealistic character.
