You fucking dirty brown cunt. Read my original post
dunno how my race is relevant here but
I really need to start reading the opening posts! Who would have thought we'd both be fans of this awesome series! I'm sort of a tool for these sorts of indie-ish romantic films. I still haven't had a chance to watch it but I'm guessing from you that it was good.
More importantly, could our shared affinity for Richard Linklater's masterpiece finally be the draught that leads us to a meaningful friendship??

No. But it makes you less of an idiot in my eyes.
Its not "romanticish" at all. Its pretty depressing and has a different tone from the first 2.
If you like this series I would suggest checking out films such as Lost In Translation and Garden State. They're both about 10 years old but if you like the Before series and haven't seen those then check them out. The themes in those 5 fillms are basically my life.

It's depressing? Trouble in paradise I guess. Honestly, I would have fine with the ending of the second movie, I thought it was really done well. Wonder what commentary on relationships/marriage Midnight will make.
Honestly, I didn't enjoy Lost in Translation a lot, but it was still pretty good. Bill Murray was great in it.
As for Garden State...hah...haha. I love that movie so much I've actually made a video for it:

If you liked those movies, I'm sure you've also seen American Beauty, Eternal Sunshine, and Wristcutters. All great movies.

Saw This is the End the other day. If you like Seth Rogen's over-the-top and raunchy style of humour and movies like Pineapple Express and Superbad then it's a must see . If not , you'll probably think its dumb. Probably the funniest movie I've seen in a very long time.

I will be in Burbank on Tuesday and will stop in Porto's around 3pm. If you happen to be anywhere near there look for a tall guy with a blue jacket and brown boots.
Walk up to him and say "What did one snow man say to the other snow man."
If you get the correct response. It is me.

Basically the film is say that getting together was just the easy part. Staying to together is the hard part. Very gripping film. While watching the first 2 around the halfway point your mind can wander a bit. This one doesn't mess around.

Saw Conjuring. T'was okay. The clapping thing was quite original but then it got to possession and exorcisms which is shit we've all seen before.
Saw Pacific Rim. Not bad. Had no idea Idris Elba, Charlie Hunnam, and Charlie Day were in it. Burn Gorman was another pleasantly underrated surprise.
Think Wolverine will be next on my list.

Re: Summer Movie Thread
We're the Millers wasn't bad. Plenty of fun for the whole family although some parts are a little offensive, wouldn't recommend taking someone under the age of 13.
I hate Jennifer Aniston, she's like 40 years old and Hollywood is obsessed with bathing her with make-up to make her still seem young. And lets face it, her acting has been terrible ever since she started doing Sex in the City. That new weird looking white kid was hilarious, and Jason Sudeikis is great as usual. Forgot about that blonde chick, isn't she Britney Spears' little sister or something? Forgettable performance.
6/10 for me, Martin.

Pretty much this. Just saw it. Really solid action film. Great acting and the train fight was superb. Ending was cheesy though.BraveV wrote:Wolverine wasn't bad. Solid 7/10.
Really want to watch Elysium next. Love me some Matt Damon, Neill Blomkamp, and Sharlto Copley.

Re: Summer Movie Thread
Saw it the other day. Nowhere near as good as District 9. Still good though. Should have been a bit longer though. Something was missing. The build up was good and then it just seemed like we were at the end. The middle section should have been a little longer.Hazy wrote:Really want to watch Elysium next. And I hate Matt Damon in everything except the Bourne trilogy and this. He was great.

Good Will Hunting, The Departed (where he admittedly played a prick), Talented Mr. Ripley, Dogma, Ocean's Trilogy, True Grit, Invictus, Adjustment Bureau.

And yeah, I heard it wasn't as good as District 9 but that film is impossible to beat. One of the best sci-fi films ever made.

I think Good Will Hunting is overrated. He's a little bitch in The Departed but he's not so annoying in that I guess.Hazy wrote:*gasp*Darko Iulo wrote:And I hate Matt Damon in everything except the Bourne trilogy and this. He was great.

Mr. Ripley was a fantastic film. His weirdness I guess is what makes that one idk...weird.
Never seen Dogma.
I absolutely hate Soderbergh films. But he's actually ok in those.
True Grit he's funny but annoying.
Invictus I'll admit he was great. Adjustment Bureau I haven't seen.
Ok as I was trying to criticise all these films I realise that he isn't so bad and that just in movies but that he just annoys me sometimes. And you forgot to mention Rounders.
I guess he's so great as Bourne that I compare everything else to that character.

Good Will Hunting is a tad overrated, but very impressive considering his age and the fact he wrote it.Darko Iulo wrote:I think Good Will Hunting is overrated. He is a bitch in the Departed, but he played the role of "bitch" great. Same with Jack Gleeson as Joffrey.
He was hilarious in Ocean's 13. The scene where he's wearing a fake nose is one of my favourites in the series.
You'd better admit he was great in Invictus.
Adjustment Bureau was a really good film, imo. Not great, but still a really good, weird, romantic film.
Also Emily Blunt.
And I agree, he sometimes plays annoying characters but he's really charming in all his roles and a fantastic actor.
Also, I saw this film where he buys a zoo. A bit cheesy and nothing special but it made me feel all warm inside.
Maybe because Scarlett Johansson was in it, I don't know.
Also, haven't seen Rounders. Will check it out.
Also, this:
